  I recently caught an 11lb 14oz Leather Carp at peg 19 on woodpecker Lake at Townsend lakes this is one of the best fishing venues that I have ever been to, it has an amazing variety of fish including, Golden and Blue Orfe, Golden Tench and pale and dark varieties of the Common Tench, Common Carp, Mirror Carp, Leather Carp, Linear Mirror Carp, Common Ghost Carp, Mirror Ghost Carp, Bronze Bream, Silver Bream (Bilika Bjorkna), Rudd, Roach, Barbel and many different beautiful varieties of Goldfish, all of these fish fight hard as the lakes are all artificially oxygenated, ant the quality and health of these fish are fantastic, very much in fin perfect condition, there is also an on site tackle and bait shop with refreshments and anything that you are likely to need should you have forgotten anything.

  townsend fishing lakes is excellent you just cant stop cathing fish especially on the smaller lake! its a beautiful place and i absolutely love going there! the price is great for a day ticket! and it even has its own shop which sells everything from bait to rods and reels! if you've never been there u really should its great.

  Townsend lakes is an amazing place for fishing its just great! i caught my first carp and tench there! its full of fish and there mostly all good sizes! and its a beautiful place!
