Woodlands Fishery

I took my 'apprentice' angler with me to Woodlands and what a day! The wind came from the wrong direction but we both caught. John is a great guy with a great fishery which is very well organised with lakes to suit all levels of anglers from beginers to pro's. This fishery is so nice to the eye as it has a lovely view, slabbed pegs and helpful local fishermen who are willing to give you info to enjoy your day better. John provides a lovely clean toilet, tackle and bait shop with hot and cold drinks available and even snacks. chairs and tables are there to use outside on well kept grass areas. You cannot help but to be relaxed here. The fishing is superb with cracking crucians, roach, skimmers etc. It makes a change to be able to use a keepnet. Lets hope that the 'stupid element' of our sport dont spoil this by breaking the rules and forcing John to ban them. The rules are simple and not to restrictive if we all abide by them. Also I contacted John by email and was surprised how quickly I got a reply....Top man!! Also John is happy to talk to his customers and give good advice and storys. I for one will be returing there soon even with a 90 mile round trip!!
